Hello Family,
I apologize for a late update. I got sick on Sunday and have been awake for about four hours per day since. With the weather getting crazier every year, many people have been badly sick. I, too, thought was going to succumb to fever, chills, headaches, and soar throat for a while.
Yesterday, my headache was so bad that I took four tabs of Advil as soon as I woke up. Then, I went back to sleep for a couple of hours, only to be awoken with more pain. So, I took three pills of Tylenol. I basically more than tripled the recommended dosage.
Yet the headache didn’t go away. I really don’t know how I made it to class. Later that night, Hannah came to see me. She brought some medicine that finally made my head feel better. Right before she left, she prayed for me, proclaiming in the name of Jesus for sickness to go away.
In the middle of the night, I woke up several times in again pain. At 4am, I was so thirsty that I had to get up and drink some water. When I returned to bed, I was brought down with heavy chills, so much so that I had to sleep directly on top of an electrical heating pad I use cranked up almost all the way. I remember thinking that I was certainly going to get worse.
When I woke up at 8am, I was fine. I was astonished. Just four hours ago, I was in a terrible shape: cold-sweating, head pounding and drying with severe thirst. Yet here I was, feeling surprisingly normal four hours later. I know I don’t heal that fast.
Is it coincidence? Did all the medicine I took somehow all worked together at the same time? I don’t think so. I think it’s a direct result of boldly claiming the name of Jesus over sickness.
Beloved brothers and sisters, experiencing God through prayer in daily life is frequently available. It is a matter of us being observant of what God is doing in our lives. I pray that we all experience the hand of the living God in many happenings of this week, small and big.
