URC Weekly 7/5/09: Jesus Walks… THIS SUNDAY @ 6 PM!!!



Hi Gang,

After Hualapai missions last week, I reaffirm my two most important comforts of home: my bed and my bathroom.  In Arizona, there were scorpions in the bathroom, and each night I feared a venomous pincer injecting my jugular.  Now I can rest and “go” in peace.  Great time sharing about missions, praying together, and remembering that God’s kingdom constantly advances forward.  So many reasons to praise Him, and we’re gonna praise Him all night on Sunday…

1) URC PRAISE NIGHT: THIS SUNDAY @ 6 PM @ ENGLISH CHAPEL.  It’s finally here!!!  The Praise Team has been practicing so much and are ready to go.  R2B and guest (not Focus, sorry) will spit rhymes that nobody can handle (pretty sure that’s the wrong lingo; you know what I mean).  Randy will bring the fire of God in his message.

Taco Man is set to arrive and cook @ 5, so URC, please come early and eat.  Everyone else should arrive around 6.  We moved back to the English Chapel, so don’t go to the main sanctuary.  BRING PEOPLE, and let’s make this big, so we’ll have a packed house giving God His due.  He’s sovereign, He’s worthy, so spread the word, and spread the Word…

2) CG: THIS FRIDAY @ 7 PM @ TAE/SARA’S.  Been a while, but we’re back in action.  Food, Bible, and URC Pool Tournament #2811.

3) SCRIPTURE READING/OFFERING: JANE KIM (email with instructions coming)

4) DEVOTIONS: Job 40-Psalm 4 (End of Job, “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked”)
