URC Weekly 7/26/09: Survivor Yosemite
Hi Survivors,
It’s finally here. Survivor Yosemite; URC vs. Wild; Luxury-camping-after-brutal-Santa-Cruz-Island-with-no-amenities. Whatever you wanna call it, our annual URC Camping Trip is this Sunday, and after a tough year for many of us, the Lord has provided a time to get away, enjoy fellowship, and recharge. Still, camping boils down to the people and the equipment. People are awesome, as always, but if you’re going, please read every following word carefully and make sure you bring the equipment you’re responsible for…
1) LIVING ROOM CONSTRUCTION: THIS SATURDAY @ 10 AM. THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who worked like crazy last weekend on our Demolition Crew and Artist Crew. Just amazing sacrifice that made me so proud. One day left this Saturday for Grounds Crew, who will install flooring. We decided to start @ 10 AM instead of noon, so we’ll have daylight and won’t have to stay so late. PLEASE come help for one more day, and we’ll have a beautiful, expanded Living Room to enjoy every week.

2. LOCATION: Yosemite National Park (Hodgdon Meadow campsite): Campground Host, comfort station, drinking water, dumpster, fire rings, fishing, flush toilets, hiking trail, interpretive center, parking, picnic tables, ranger station, sinks in restroom (showers @ Yosemite Valley 45 min. away, fee)

PERSONAL SUPPLIES: Bible, 2 large water bottles (Nalgene-type 1-liter), sleeping bag, electric lantern, flashlight/batteries, clothes for hot and cold weather, appropriate shoes (hiking/athletic as well as comfy shoes/sandals), walking stick, sunblock, toiletries, gloves for Half-Dome cables, swim suit, towel, girl products, medications you normally use (we won’t go fishing, so please don’t bring gear); BRING ONLY 1 BAG + 1 SLEEPING BAG
