Hi Family,
Jesus Walked With Us last night during URC Praise Night, and it was a gathering that truly glorified our Lord in many ways: Taco Man (aka Senor Jamarillo) delivered the goods, and as we ate together, there was the spirit of a family reunion, with extended relatives reconnecting. During our time of singing, a united chorus of praise from the congregation filled the sanctuary, and I felt we were immersed in a sea of worship. The vision we prayed about before was what I saw each time we sang: the royal train of God’s robe filling the temple, signifying His majesty. R2B and Randy unleashed their passion as they rapped and preached about faith from the real, raw experience of life. I felt strength in our churches as we prayed for one another, and the bond of fellowship afterwards. While there are always areas to improve on, overall I saw God honored and the fire fueled for our greater congregation. Let’s pray now for UMEC, who will host the next one… Thank God for all of you who served and made it possible. We applauded everyone last night, including the kitchen team, child care team, praise team, emcee, and set up/take down team, and I realized that every single one of you served hard the whole day in a way that was so important for the event. Maybe we’re learning what it means to serve without being seen. Applause to the Lord for the servants of URC.
This week, we rejoice in that beautiful acronym… AYCE (pronounced “aaaace”). All of URC knows it stands for that beautiful phrase… “All You Can Eat,” and we’re gonna AYCE twice this week:
1. WNF AYCE: THIS WEDNESDAY @ 6 PM @ SANG/GRACE’S. Taco Man prepared for 100 people, and Latino portions are apparently bigger than Asian ones. We’re gonna feast on all the leftovers and then swim afterwards @ our pool to work it off. Come with an appetite, swim gear, and a towel. (Sorry, warning to parents that a lady sometimes comes and tells unpotty-trained kids they can’t swim).
2. DODGERS/ASTROS AYCE: THIS SUNDAY @ 1:10 PM. We’ll leave shortly after service and eat until the food ends in the 7th inning. As we say, besides the Dodger Dogs, there’s also a Dodgers’ game on the side.
3. PARENT OUTING: A WEEK FROM TUESDAY (7/21) FROM 4-9 PM. We’ll work out the location and plan with y’all on Sunday, but please try to leave that day open.
4. CONSTRUCTION: A WEEK FROM FRIDAY (7/24) AND SATURDAY. With our newly expanded room, gotta paint the walls/ceiling, rip up old floors, install new floors. We need workers and caretakers for our kiddos.
5. SURVIVOR YOSEMITE: Sign-up sheet is getting filled, so if you haven’t done so, please sign up on Sunday, and note what equipment you can bring.
6. HUALAPAI MISSION VIDEO: Thanks to Deacon Sang Hyun Park, our KM photographer, for a great video. Please watch and continue to pray for the Hualapai:

7. SCRIPTURE READING/OFFERING: David Kwon
8. DEVOTIONS: Psalm 5-10 (“…what is man that you are mindful of him, the son f man that you care for him? you made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor… O Lord our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!”)
