URC Weekly 06/01/09: Graduation!
Hi Family,
Believe it or not, this pic is from two years ago, when our UC Irvine girls graduated high school, and now they’re about to go into their third year of college, while the three floating heads behind them are also in college. This year’s graduating class includes four of our Youth, who will join the URC Family this summer…
1) GRADUATIONS: CONGRATULATIONS on crossing the finish line to Hana (Thu., 6/4), Austin (Thu., 6/11), Michelle (Fri., 6/12), Andy (Wed., 6/17)!!!
2) CG: THIS FRIDAY @ 7 PM @ TAE/SARA’S: I’m excited to say the Kims decided not to move, so Union Station is back! I was happy enough to consider throwing a house-warming party, but let’s just gather for Community Group. Bring some food for a potluck, Sam will lead us in the Word, and URC Pool Tournament #971 will follow…
3) YOUTH RETREAT MEETING: THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON. This will be the first general meeting for anyone who wants to help @ this summer’s retreat, so make sure you’re there! Also, due to the meeting this week and next week, PARENT OUTING WILL BE POSTPONED FOR TWO WEEKS, on 6/21 (it WILL happen!)…
4) DODGERS TIX: Sunday, 7/19, AYCE, $15, down from $25. Bring $ to Sara Kim; first come, first served.
5) JESUS WALKS… WITH YOU: Save the date for URC PRAISE NIGHT on Sunday, 7/12 @ 6 PM. 6) DK’S PICK OF THE WEEK (STAR TREK): I read this article, by our own David Kwon, and thought I was reading Ebert and Roeper until I saw a letter grade instead of thumbs up/down.
