URC Weekly 4/19/09: Joint Worship
Hi Family,
As I look @ this photo, a few thoughts come to mind: 1) We’re a big ole family; 2) I love joint worship services; and 3) Do those five guys in back need to transfer to the Children’s Ministry? This Friday, the Lees will be off to Hawaii for a week-long family reunion, and we’ll miss very much the church family reunion that’ll be going on @ URC:
1) JOINT WORSHIP SERVICE: THIS SUNDAY @ 10:45 AM @ ENGLISH CHAPEL. It’ll be just URC and Youth (not kiddos), and Pastor Joshua will be preaching. DO NOT come @ 9:30 AM, but come by 10:45 and set an example for our Youth by preparing your hearts for worship.
2) NO TNF OR CG THIS WEEK: TNF next week, CG in two weeks…
3) PAINTBALLING: SATURDAY, 5/16 ($30 to Won by Sunday, 5/3). URC, Youth, and KM parents will go to battle. Since the parents refuse to acknowledge whenever they’re hit, it’s more like KM Terminators vs. URC/Youth Resistance. The cost is $50/person, but down to $30 with URC support.
4) THREE SISTERS PLAY: 5/15 (Fri.), 5/23 (Sat.), 5/30 (Sat.) @ 8 PM @ THE ACTORS’ PLAYPEN (1514 N. Gardner St., Hollywood, 90046). Tix are $10, and reservations can be made @ 323-874-1733. Alice continues to be famous, playing the middle sister in this play. URC moms will try to go on 5/15, so let Sara Kim know if you have questions.
5) OFFERING PRAYER: Ludia Cha
6) DEVOTIONS: Ezra 8-10 (Exiles Return and Confess), Nehemiah 1-3 (Preparation to Rebuild the Wall of Jerusalem)
