There’s one book that’s the best-selling of all time, deemed “the greatest story ever told,” had the most movies ever based on it, and reading it alone will change us from ordinary to extraordinary. It’s the Holy Bible, the one on your desk, the one that fell to the side of your bed, the one you left at church last week. Let’s rethink this, then do something about it…
1) COMMUNITY GROUP: THIS FRIDAY @ 8 PM @ Sang/Grace’s (1907 Delta Ave., Rosemead, 91770). We’re gonna start a multi-week class on the Bible for Dummies, and I include myself as a dummy. How was the Bible written and put together? What are the different types of books? Can we bank our lives on it? (Add your questions here…). NOT A POTLUCK, so eat dinner before, and come for snacks.
2) R2B @ URC: THIS SUNDAY @ WORSHIP SERVICE. Andrew blessed us with hip hop before, and he’s gonna do his piece “Dragon” on Sunday. Keep him in your prayers, show some love when he comes up, and remember to have friends save the date of Friday the 13th (8 PM) for his Masquerade Party/Dragon Video Premier.
3) LOGOS BBALL: THIS SUNDAY @ 4 PM. Last time, we lost Won to old-manness/cramping quads. And we lost. This is the rematch, so come to play, cheer, or chill.
4) GLOBETROTTERS: MONDAY (President’s Day), 2/16 @ 1 PM @ CITIZEN BUSINESS BANK ARENA (Ontario). $12 per person, including parking. Please email Sara Kim (taeandsara@gmail.com) by this Sunday, so she can get tix.
5) SCRIPTURE READING/OFFERING DEDICATION: Ludia Cha
6) DEVOTIONS: 1 Chronicles 13-18
#1 and #6 will help us in not being dummies, so let’s read and gather on Friday.
