Union Weekly 2/15/09: 3, 2, 1… Blastoff!!!



Hi Gang,

Our website launched this Monday, and I still can’t believe I’m writing this on our site!  You can now Google us, look us up on Google Maps, and tell your friends, “unionrestoration.org” for anything church-related.  When I started ministry here, I wanted to wait until we had a website before I made a business card.  3 1/2 years later, I have written our church info on 2000 napkins and realized that I have no business savvy whatsoever, but I can finally hand out a card.  We’re legit!

1) UNIONRESTORATION.ORG: SUBSCRIBE TO EMAIL UPDATES NOW.  It takes 1 minute and will guarantee you get any Restoration Weekly or new featured articles sent to your email.  Just click on “Subscribe to email updates” on the right side of our website.  I’ll send email updates only for the next couple of weeks, then I’ll just update our website…

IDEAS FOR FUTURE ON WEBSITE: Embedded photo gallery, videos, sermon podcasts, blog pages… if you have other suggestions, please let Ray know.

2) CG: THIS FRIDAY @ 7 PM @ TAE/SARA’S.  Potluck dinner (bring anything but drinks (WON)), Bible study, pool tourney #593.

3) ASH WEDNESDAY PRAYER MEETING: NEXT WED (2/25) @ 7 PM @ ENGLISH CHAPEL.  As I confessed, I missed Ash Wednesday last year.  Pretty big mistake by a pastor.  Up there with when I forgot offering during service.  Ash Wednesday is a special day in our Christian calendar because it marks the beginning of Lent, the 46 days before Easter, when we reflect on the passion of Christ as He took the road to the cross.  Let’s gather next Wednesday to meditate, pray, and worship.
