Union Weekly 1/25/09: Super Sunday
Hi Family,
After eating 11 tacos on Saturday and 6 on Sunday, I have to wait at least a week before I can eat tacos again, ahahha. Thanks to all of you who came to Joon-Soo’s party, and to everyone who has helped raise the little guy. The friends who stuck around until cleanup time were almost all from church, and Grace and I were reminded of the gift of family we have in y’all. More celebrating to come…
1) TNF: THIS THURSDAY @ 7 PM @ SOUPLANTATION (17411 Colima Rd, City of Industry, 91748). All you can eat, $10, healthy. What more can you ask for (maybe a little less healthy and more beef)? In discipleship we talked about the power of community, not only in calling, prayer, and accountability, but especially through meeting together. Try to make it out.
2) NEW BEGINNINGS PRAYER MEETING: THIS SATURDAY @ 8 AM @ NEW BEGINNINGS CHURCH (13020 Francisquito Avenue, Suite #10, Baldwin Park). The theme is “A Passion for Him,” the congregation will be a fired-up, multi-ethnic crowd, breakfast will be served ($10 suggested donation), and the Spirit will move. I believe Ray, Alice, Hyonroh, and Ludia are coming. If anyone else wants to attend, let me know.
3) SUPERBOWL PARTY! THIS SUNDAY @ JEANA’S HOUSE (2500 Larkwood Dr., Fullerton, 92833) @ 3 PM. Game starts @ 3:28. JEANA/ALICE, please confirm the address is correct and the time is OK. We’re not gonna have a potluck, but we’ll order pizza, so please bring money to chip in (maybe around $7). We’ll bring cups/plates and drinks.
4) TAX STATEMENTS: If you want a tax statement from URC for your offering for the year, please email Won by this Friday.
5) HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS: MONDAY, 2/16 @ 1 PM IN ONTARIO. The original And1 Basketball Tour. Tix are $12 (including parking). Let Sara Kim know this Sunday if you’re interested in going.
